About Shaman King
Shaman King follows Yoh Asakura entering the Shaman Fight to become Shaman King while Hao grows stronger across past lives. The 2001 series runs 64 episodes with an anime only ending, since the manga was still running. The 2021 remake runs 52 episodes and adapts the full manga to its planned close.
Shaman King Flowers from 2024 follows Hana, the son of Yoh and Anna, with older faces returning. Watch the remake for the complete canon story and treat the 2001 run as a period version. Flowers assumes the remake ending, so save it for last.
Good to know
Pick one main telling on a first viewing, not both back to back. The 2021 remake covers the manga ending the 2001 series could not reach, so it works better as the single path. Return to the 2001 run later for its own tone and filler arcs. Watch Flowers last since it spoils who survives and starts families. No further anime has been dated, so the run counts as complete for now.
