About Shinkalion
Shinkalion is Takara Tomy bullet train robot anime where kids pilot transforming Shinkansen through the Shinkansen Ultra Evolution Institute. The first series, Shinkalion The Animation, ran 76 episodes from January 2018 to June 2019 and sets the core team and villains.
The ALFA-X movie from December 2019 continues that story and should be watched after episode 76. Shinkalion Z ran 41 episodes from April 2021 to March 2022 with a new cast in the same broad setup. Change the World ran 39 episodes from April 2024 to February 2025 as a separate continuity reboot with new leads.
Good to know
Release order is the recommended watch path. The 2018 series and the ALFA-X film form one story, Z follows as a successor with new drivers, and Change the World stands alone in its own continuity so it can be watched after the others or on its own. There is no Change the World movie, only the single 2019 ALFA-X film. No new Shinkalion anime had been announced as of October 2026.
