About Ushio and Tora
Ushio and Tora pairs a hotheaded boy with the ancient tiger-demon pinned in his basement: the Beast Spear chooses Ushio, and the two bicker through yokai battles toward an apocalyptic showdown. The 1992 OVA series adapts early chapters across 10 episodes with 1990s OVA polish.
The 2015 MAPPA TV series reboots from the start and runs 39 episodes all the way to the manga's ending, making it the complete adaptation. Watch the TV series for the full story; the OVAs are a historical bonus with different voices and designs. Release order between them does not matter since the TV version restarts continuity.
