About Colourblocks
Colourblocks teaches colours as block friends mix into new shades on CBeebies. Series one from September 2022 runs 30 shorts setting Red, Blue, Yellow and Green with Blue Zoo songs and paint pots. Joe Elliot guides mixing with cheerful chants and paint splats.
Series two to three through 2025 add 60 more to 90 total with light, dark and pattern mixes plus rainbow finales. No end was set as of September 2026, so the run stands open. Each short names its colours up front with a mixing song for toddlers.
Good to know
Watch in broadcast order since mixing assumes prior primary colours directly. Later shorts assume you know Red plus Yellow makes Orange from year one. Numberblocks and Alphablocks cross songs fit anywhere with counting and phonics. Any five minute short suits a morning slot alone. Treat the run as open while BBC orders more colour mixes.
