About Downtown
Downtown follows Alex, Goat, Chaka, Fruity, Meka and Serena hanging around the Lower East Side in rotoscope style animation. Episodes 1 to 4 set Alex's birthday, Goat's hustles, park nights and a short lived job search, fixing who knows whom and how the group fits together.
Episodes 5 to 9 move through date nights, subway rides, club lines, apartment parties and summer heat on the basketball courts. Episodes 10 to 13 close with friend splits, night walks and goodbye talks on the roof. Creator Chris Prynoski aired all thirteen on MTV in 1999, so watch 1 through 13 in air order.
