About Fat Albert
Fat Albert follows Fat Albert and the Junkyard Gang with Bill, Dumb Donald, Mushmouth and Rudy learning weekly morals with live Bill Cosby bookends from 1972 on CBS. Early seasons set the clubhouse, the Brown Hornet serial, junk instruments and street lessons.
Later seasons through 1985 add school plots, new kids, music turns and the Hey Hey Hey specials across 110 episodes. Watch in release order because lessons repeat. The run closed in 1985 apart from the 2004 live film kept outside. Scat singing and junkyard instruments open many segments warmly.
Good to know
Release order is the only path for Fat Albert because stories are standalone and live lessons stay fixed each week. Start with early seasons for gang rules and clubhouse setup, then take later seasons freely. Any single story works alone once the moral patterns and Brown Hornet bits are known. Moral tags close each story the same way.
