About Hazbin Hotel (Hellaverse)
The Hellaverse is Vivienne Medrano's shared indie-hell universe across two shows. Helluva Boss started on YouTube in 2019 as a foul-mouthed workplace comedy about imp assassins, while Hazbin Hotel, whose pilot also dropped in 2019, became the Prime Video musical about Charlie Morningstar redeeming sinners.
Release order works and keeps every cameo landing: both pilots, then Helluva Boss seasons 1 and 2, then Hazbin season 1 (2024) and season 2 (2025). The shows cross over lightly but each stands alone, so purists can watch one track only. Helluva Boss season 3 arrived on Prime Video from fall 2026, with Hazbin season 3 confirmed as part of a five-season plan ending with season 5.
Good to know
Helluva Boss seasons 1 and 2 first lived on YouTube and moved to Prime Video in 2025 alongside a new exclusive episode, Mission: Zero, so either platform covers the story. The two pilots are rougher than the series and skippable if the animation style bothers you. Content-wise both shows are firmly adult musical comedy with explicit language, so this is not a family watch despite the cartoon look.
