About He-Man
He-Man starts with the 1983 Filmation run of 130 episodes about Adam defending Grayskull from Skeletor. The 2002 reboot retells the origin serially across 39 episodes ending on the Snake Men setup. Revelation in 2021 continues the original continuity decades later with Teela's quest, and Revolution in 2024 closes that Smith run. She-Ra spins out as its own branch for afterward.
The versions share setup but only Revelation continues 1983 directly, so watch the original before it. The 2002 reboot stands apart and can go any time after the original. A live-action film has been reported without a firm date here, so the animated runs stay complete for now.
Good to know
Watch the 1983 run first, then Revelation and Revolution as its continuation. The 2002 reboot assumes nothing and retells from Adam's start, making it a movable alternate. Production order beats broadcast shuffles for the 1983 run since episodes aired out of sequence. She-Ra's two versions branch from the same setup and wait until after He-Man's runs.
