Heavy Gear: The Animated Series adapts Dream Pod 9's tabletop mecha universe across 40 episodes in two seasons from September 2001 to 2002. Young pilot Marcus Rover joins the Vanguard to fight for Terra Nova with armored Gear fighters and rival pilots.
