About Iwaju
Iwaju follows Tola, a wealthy island girl, and Kole, a street smart boy, across a futuristic Lagos split by class and tech. The six episode series premiered in February 2024 on Disney Plus, produced by Walt Disney Animation and the Pan African studio Kugali with a companion comic. The plot moves from a kidnapping setup through island and mainland chases toward a reunion.
There are no earlier seasons or films beyond the limited run, so release order is story order. The shorts and comic extras retell the same world without new plot, so the six episodes are the main path. Watch episodes 1 through 6 in order for the complete class divide adventure in one sitting.
Good to know
Watch episodes 1 through 6 in release order, since the Lagos chase builds across the short run. The series tells a closed limited story with no second season, so no extra viewing is needed. Treat companion comics as optional background rather than required plot. The February 2024 run is complete as a six part future fable. Release order keeps the island and mainland chase clear throughout.
