About Ninjago
Ninjago began with pilot episodes in January 2011 and ran fifteen seasons as Ninjago: Masters of Spinjitzu through 2022, following Lloyd and the ninja team against the Serpentine, the Overlord and later Harumi. The LEGO Ninjago Movie from 2017 retells the premise in a separate continuity with different designs and voices.
Ninjago: Dragons Rising launched in 2023 as the direct sequel, set years after the original finale with new heroes Arin and Sora joining Lloyd. Season three aired in 2025, and the show continues as the active series with further seasons confirmed in development.
Good to know
Watch the pilots first, then seasons one through fifteen in broadcast order, then Dragons Rising one through three. The pilots are only four episodes and set up the team, so skipping them leaves the first season confusing. The 2017 movie and the Tall Tales shorts are separate continuity, fun but skippable if you want only the main story.
