About VeggieTales

Phil Vischer and Mike Nawrocki launched VeggieTales direct to video with Where's God When I'm S-Scared? in December 1993. The early videos retold Bible stories with Bob the Tomato and Larry the Cucumber, with milestones like Are You My Neighbor? in 1995 and Larry-Boy! and the Fib from Outer Space! in 1997.

The franchise reached theaters with Jonah: A VeggieTales Movie in 2002 and The Pirates Who Don't Do Anything in 2008. Later eras moved to streaming: VeggieTales in the House on Netflix in 2014, VeggieTales in the City in 2017, and The VeggieTales Show in 2019. This guide follows release order.

Good to know

There is no separate chronological order worth listing. Most VeggieTales stories are standalone retellings, so release order is the sensible path and matches how the animation style evolves. Era notes: direct-to-video classics from 1993 to the 2000s, two theatrical movies in 2002 and 2008, then Netflix series in 2014 and 2017, then The VeggieTales Show from 2019.
