About The Venture Bros.
The Venture Bros. starts with the 2003 pilot and runs seven seasons from 2004 to 2018, eighty-one episodes tracking Hank and Dean against the Monarch. The show compounds its own lore: the Guild, OSI, Dr. Girlfriend's arc and the boys' origins all pay off seasons later. Specials like A Very Venture Christmas and All This and Gargantua-2 slot inside their eras as extras.
Radiant Is the Blood of the Baboon Heart from July 2023 closes the run as a direct sequel to the season 7 finale, with Hank missing and Mantilla's threat forcing friends and foes together. It assumes the full series and resolves the biggest questions while leaving some threads open. Adult Swim cancelled the show in 2020 before the film rescued the ending, so the movie is the finale rather than a spinoff.
Good to know
Watch the pilot, then all seven seasons, then the film. The show is heavily serialized despite the comedy surface, so skipping seasons breaks the Guild and family reveals. The specials fit their air spots but none gate the plot. Radiant must come last: it continues the finale's cliffhanger literally and its answers assume every season seen. No further season has been announced after the film.
