About Yakka Dee
Yakka Dee follows banana Dee and friends learning first words on CBeebies. Series one from 2019 runs shorts setting ball, dog and bus with live kids and animation plus songs and dances. Beakus produces with one word per show and giggles plus dances daily.
Series two to five through 2023 add more to 70 total with holidays and animals plus new pals. No sixth series was dated by September 2026, though repeats run daily on iPlayer. Each short ends with Dee saying the word plainly for toddlers to repeat.
Good to know
Watch series one to five in order since word groups and kid pals return directly each year. Later shorts assume you know Dee's giggle and banana slide from year one songs. Any five minute short fits a morning slot alone with one word. Treat the run as open while BBC weighs more first words for toddlers.
