Mascot run to the modern remake.

About Alex Kidd

Alex Kidd starts in 1986 with Miracle World on Master System as Sega’s early mascot run with rock paper scissors bosses. The Lost Stars from 1988 moves into arcade stages, High-Tech World from 1989 retools a Japanese game, and Enchanted Castle from 1989 closes the Genesis style run.

Shinobi World from 1990 parodies ninja runs as a late mascot entry. Alex Kidd in Miracle World DX from 2021 remakes the original with new levels. The series has no strict canon, so mechanics and boss quirks matter more than plot order across the run.

Good to know

Play Miracle World first, either original or DX, then sample the rest freely. Enchanted Castle and Shinobi World show the mascot range best. Lost Stars and High-Tech World can be skipped on a short run. No sequel to DX had been dated as of September 2026, so the remake stands as the modern entry point.
