About Banjo-Kazooie
Banjo-Kazooie began with Rare's 1998 N64 classic about bear and bird collecting Jiggies against Gruntilda. Tooie (2000) expanded to connected worlds with split-up moves, and Grunty's Revenge (2003) on Game Boy Advance told a time-travel prequel. Nuts and Bolts (2008) moved to vehicle building under the Lord of Games wager.
Rare moved on to Sea of Thieves after 2008 with no new Banjo dated as of 2026, despite Smash Bros. adding the duo in 2019. The N64 pair stays the core, with Nuts and Bolts dividing fans over its builder pivot rather than platforming.
Good to know
Play Kazooie then Tooie in order, since the move sets and the Gruntilda rivalry assume sequence across both N64 adventures. Grunty's Revenge fits between them as a handheld prequel, safe any time after the original. Nuts and Bolts works last as its own builder experiment, with the Jiggy logic replaced by vehicle parts.
