About Bomberman
Bomberman starts in 1983 as a maze game about trapping foes with bombs. The Super Bomberman run on SNES from 1993 refines 4 player battles, while Bomberman 64 from 1997 moves into 3D platform stages with new bomb types.
Later branches include Bomberman Hero, the Jetters tie in games, and Act Zero’s darker reboot. Super Bomberman R from 2017 revives the classic formula on Switch, and Super Bomberman R 2 from 2023 adds Castle defense. The canon resets often, so no plot thread runs through all entries.
