Brothers: A Tale of Two Sons has each stick control one brother on a journey for the Water of Life. Starbreeze Studios shipped the original August 7, 2013 on Xbox 360 with PC and PS3 that September, directed by Josef Fares.
Avantgarden rebuilt the game with 505 Games for PS5, Xbox Series, and PC on February 28, 2024 with new graphics, music, and co-op options. No sequel was made. Play either version once, not both back to back. The remake is definitive for new players while the original shows the 2013 design.

There is no sequel timeline since both entries tell the same story. Release order here is simply original then remake for history. New players should pick the 2024 remake for updated controls and visuals. Returning players can revisit the 2013 original for the spare look.
