About Valiant Hearts
Valiant Hearts: The Great War follows Emile, Freddie, Anna, and dog Walt through 1914 to 1917 with puzzle and rhythm chapters. Ubisoft Montpellier shipped it June 24, 2014. Coming Home continues with new heroes including James and Ernst plus returning Walt.
Coming Home debuted January 31, 2023 on Netflix mobile through Old Skull Games, then arrived March 7, 2024 on PC, PlayStation, Xbox, and Switch with The Collection bundle of both games. Ubisoft frames Coming Home as the sequel that closes the story. Play Great War first, then Coming Home.
Good to know
Release order equals story order, so play Great War then Coming Home. The mobile debut confuses dates, but the console and PC release in March 2024 is the same game, not a third entry. The Collection bundle is simply both games together. Treat the series as finished at Coming Home in 2024, since Ubisoft describes it as the concluding chapter with nothing further announced.
