About Colony Wars
Colony Wars follows the League of Free Worlds against the Earth Empire in the 5th millennium. The 1997 original has branching paths across six systems. Vengeance arrived in 1998 as a Navy pilot story set after a League win.
Red Sun came in 2000 with a mining ship crew and the Alien device plot. All three ran on PlayStation 1 from Psygnosis. Play in release order, since Vengeance and Red Sun reuse ships and name prior battles. Each run splits by mission success, so two players can see different endings.
Good to know
Play in release order. The branching endings mean story order bends by player skill, so release order is the only stable path. Vengeance assumes a League victory, while Red Sun sits after both prior wars. No fourth entry has appeared since 2000, so the trilogy stands complete with no remake dated yet.
