About Custom Robo
Custom Robo started December 1999 on N64 with tiny robo arena battles. V2 in November 2000 continues on N64 in Japan only. GX in July 2002 moves to Game Boy Advance.
Battle Revolution in March 2004 on GameCube tells an alternate continuity with the same parts. Arena in October 2006 on DS adds online and is the latest with Western release in 2007 worldwide. GX2 on Advance was cancelled. No new game has been announced as of September 2026. Play in release order with Battle Revolution as a branch.
Good to know
Battle Revolution reboots the world rather than continuing V2 and GX, so strict story order would split it off. Release order keeps each entry where intended. Arena from 2006 is the latest and the endpoint since GX2 cancelled. The series is dormant with no sequel dated as of September 2026. Start at the 1999 original.
