About Dead Island
Dead Island is the tropical zombie series where melee combat and co-op carry the day. The 2011 original strands survivors on Banoi, Riptide (2013) continues directly from its ending, and Dead Island 2 (2023) reboots the setting in Los Angeles with new slayers.
Release order is the intended path. Riptide assumes the first game's ending, while 2 works as a fresh start.
