About Dying Light
Dying Light traps Kyle Crane in Harran during a zombie outbreak where parkour beats guns, and The Following expansion adds a countryside buggy map to the same story. The 2015 base game plus its expansion form one complete Crane arc.
Dying Light 2 jumps twenty-two years to Villedor in 2036 with new lead Aiden, and the Bloody Ties DLC adds the Carnage Hall arena. The Reloaded Edition bundles the sequel with its DLC. The Beast from September 2025 brings Crane back in Castor Woods as a standalone entry. Play in release order throughout.

Release order is story order, with the sequel set twenty-two years after Harran. Play The Following after the base game's main beats, and Bloody Ties during the sequel's mid-game. The Reloaded Edition is simply the sequel plus Bloody Ties, so bundle owners need nothing extra. The Beast started as sequel DLC and became standalone. Live updates continue with no new mainline dated.
