About Delta Force
Delta Force started in 1998 at NovaLogic as a large map tactical shooter, a direct rival to Rainbow Six that pushed long range outdoor combat. Sequels followed yearly with Land Warrior in 2000, Task Force Dagger and Urban Warfare in 2002, then Black Hawk Down in 2003 with its Team Sabre expansion in 2004.
Xtreme in 2005 remade the first game with vehicles, Xtreme 2 closed the classic run in 2009, and the series slept 16 years until TiMi Studio Group rebooted it as free to play Delta Force in January 2025 with a remade Black Hawk Down campaign plus large scale multiplayer.
Good to know
Play in release order, since later games assume comfort with the format rather than a strict plot. Xtreme is a remake of the 1998 game, so newcomers can start with Xtreme or jump to the 2025 reboot without losing story. The 2025 game is live service, which is why this guide stays ongoing while seasons and operators keep arriving.
