About Inti Creates
Inti Creates was founded in 1996 by former Capcom staff and made its name with Capcom on Game Boy Advance and DS. Mega Man Zero from 2002 starts a four game arc with Zero 2 in 2003, Zero 3 in 2004 and Zero 4 in 2005, all tough run and gun platformers with cyber elf systems and ranked missions.
Mega Man ZX from 2006 and ZX Advent from 2007 move the formula to DS with biometal transformations. Azure Striker Gunvolt from 2014, Gunvolt 2 from 2016 and Gunvolt 3 from 2022 shift to self publishing on 3DS, Switch, PlayStation, Xbox and PC. Gal Guardians: Demon Purge from February 23, 2023 opened the Gal Guardians line as a castle platformer. Gal Guardians: Servants of the Dark from March 27, 2025 closes this list as a full Metroidvania with Kirika and Masha on Switch, PlayStation, Xbox and PC.
Good to know
Release order is the play order. Each series stands alone, so Zero, ZX, Gunvolt and Gal Guardians need no timeline shuffle. Play the Zero Collection if you want modern ports, and treat Mighty Gunvolt, Striker Pack extras and Luminous Avenger iX as side material after the main numbered games. Contract work like Mega Man 9 and 10 plus licensed titles are left out to keep this to core originals. Servants of the Dark gets a Switch 2 port on January 28, 2027.
