Mario plus Rabbids pairs Nintendo mascots with Ubisoft chaos in two tactics games, starting with Kingdom Battle in 2017 as the Vortex pulls Rabbids into the Mushroom Kingdom with blasters. Sparks of Hope in 2022 drops the grid for free movement across planets with Sparks to equip, keeping the cover percentages and team jumps while widening exploration.
Kingdom Battle remains the start for its eight worlds and buddy introductions, then Sparks for the Cursa quest that assumes basic dash and pipe logic. The Donkey Kong Adventure DLC from 2018 slots after Kingdom Battle as a side campaign. Play in release order to see grid tactics loosen into planet hopping.

Release order is the learning curve, since Sparks assumes Kingdom Battle movement and cover habits. Play Kingdom Battle through its eight worlds first, then the Donkey Kong DLC before Sparks for the full roster logic. Sparks works standalone in a pinch, but its Cursa setup lands harder after the Vortex rules. Treat both as a complete duology with no third dated yet.
