About MediEvil

MediEvil follows skeleton knight Sir Daniel Fortesque as he redeems his legend against Zarok in Gallowmere. The 1998 original sets sword, shield and chalice rules across crypt levels. It ends with Dan proven.

MediEvil 2 from 2000 moves to Victorian London with new weapons, while Resurrection from 2005 retells the original on PSP and the 2019 remake rebuilds it on PS4. No new game has been dated. Play the 1998 original first, then 2, then remakes, since remakes assume the crypt base. Levels stand alone per crypt, but sword and chalice rules grow from originals to remakes across years.

Good to know

Release order keeps originals before remakes, because Resurrection and 2019 change levels and jokes. The original teaches chalices, halls and bosses through Gallowmere. The sequel adds guns and time beats that only click after that base. Remakes work as modern starts, but the legend lands best after 1998. Start at the original.
