About Odin Sphere
Odin Sphere tells five tales in Erion around the Cauldron and Armageddon from Vanillaware. The PS2 original launched May 2007 with 2D action RPG combat and food alchemy. Leifthrasir launched January 2016 in Japan and June 2016 worldwide on PS3, PS4 and Vita with HD visuals, new monsters, voiced scenes and reworked combat.
George Kamitani produced both runs with Atlus publishing. Leifthrasir contains the full five books with expanded maps. Reviewers scored the remake around 87 for fixing the original's pacing while keeping the story.
Good to know
New players should play Leifthrasir, since it contains the original five tales with better combat and visuals throughout. Play the PS2 original only for history and slower pacing from the 2007 release. The five books interlock, so follow the in game book order strictly. No sequel has been announced.
