About OutRun
OutRun starts in 1986 with Yu Suzuki’s Ferrari drive through branching coasts and Passing Breeze music. OutRunners from 1992 adds 8 cars and link play, while Turbo and Europa keep the checkpoint chase on new hardware.
Coast 2 Coast from 2006 mixes classic and new routes with slipstream missions, while Online Arcade from 2009 refines 6 player runs. The Ferrari license left later ports, so car names shift by version. The series has no story beyond the next checkpoint, so release order suits driving feel over plot.
