About Sengoku Jidai
Sengoku Jidai from Byzantine launched in 2016 as Japan tactics with Oda versus Takeda turns across hills and castles. Shadow of the Shogun runs 30 scenarios with honor and weather plus ronin and sieges. Mandate of Heaven from 2020 continues with Imjin invasions and Korean maps and ships daily.
Both share Pike and Shot engine with arquebus volleys and yari walls daily. No third was dated by September 2026, so the pair forms the set with Kyoto taken. Each map needs ashigaru screens first for cavalry.
Good to know
Play Shadow of the Shogun before Mandate of Heaven in order since honor and clans carry over directly. The second assumes you know the S1 Oda holds and Takeda charges from early maps. Squares reset each era but the honor clock builds throughout. Treat Mandate as the latest pause while devs weigh more clans.
