Respawn's Star Wars Jedi games are third-person action adventures about Cal Kestis, a padawan who survived Order 66 and hides from the Empire. Fallen Order (2019) sits at 14 BBY, five years after Revenge of the Sith; Survivor (2023) jumps to 9 BBY, the same year as the Obi-Wan Kenobi series. Start with Fallen Order: release order matches story order, so this short play order is simple.
Survivor expects you to know Cal's crew, and the Battle Scars novel between the games is optional background. A third and final game is confirmed in production at Respawn with no title or date. Reports of an older Cal are rumors, not official plot.
Good to know
Fallen Order is the entry point; Survivor builds on its combat and characters directly. Survivor launched rough on PC in 2023 and has been patched since. EA confirmed the third game as the final chapter in a September 2024 investor briefing. Director Stig Asmussen left Respawn in 2023.
