About Fallout
Prime Video's Fallout adapts Bethesda's games as a new story in the same world, so game knowledge helps but is not required. Season 1 from April 2024 follows Lucy, Maximus and the Ghoul across the wasteland, and season 2 premiered December 16, 2025 with weekly episodes through February 2026 on the road to New Vegas.
The show was shot with Bethesda's lore team and fits between the games rather than retelling one. Season 3 is already confirmed, which keeps the series ongoing while Lucy closes in on her father and the fate of Shady Sands.
Good to know
Watch season 1, then season 2 in order, since the second picks up right after the finale with the same three leads. Gamers will catch New Vegas and Shady Sands references faster, but the show explains what matters. Season 3 has no date yet, so the guide ends with the New Vegas arrival until Prime Video sets the next window.
