Watch Order

About Firefly
Firefly follows the crew of the transport ship Serenity, led by veteran Mal Reynolds, scraping by on the edge of Alliance space. Fox aired the 14 episodes out of order and cancelled the show in 2002; the 2005 film Serenity wraps the story.
Watch the series in its intended order, starting with the two hour Serenity pilot, then the film. The intended order differs from both the Fox broadcast and some disc shuffles around the final episodes, so use the list below rather than whatever order your app defaults to. The film assumes the whole series.
Good to know
The one genuine ordering trap is the broadcast order: Fox premiered with The Train Job and held the real pilot for last, which scrambles every character introduction. The comics set between the series and the film are optional and stay out of the list. No revival is in development, so the series plus Serenity is the complete screen story.
