About Foundation
Foundation adapts Isaac Asimov's novels about psychohistorian Hari Seldon, whose math predicts the fall of the Galactic Empire. The Apple TV+ series spreads that collapse across centuries, with the genetic Cleon dynasty, the Foundation, and the warlord known as the Mule colliding by season three.
Watch seasons one through three in air order. The show jumps decades between episodes by design, so there is no simpler chronological cut: the time jumps are the story. Season four has filmed in Prague and is expected in 2027, which will extend the list below.
Good to know
Book readers should know the series remixes Asimov freely: the Cleon cloning dynasty and much of the Demerzel material are inventions for television. That makes this a watch the show on its own terms situation rather than a page to screen checklist. Season four follows the season three finale directly, with no announced time jump.
