About The Wonderful 101
The Wonderful 101 (2013) unites 100 heroes into fists and swords against GEATHJERK, opening August 23, 2013 in EU and JP and September 15 in NA for Wii U from PlatinumGames published by Nintendo. Remastered (2020) brings the same campaign at 60 frames to Switch, PS4 and Steam from May 19, 2020 self published after Kickstarter. After School Hero Parts 1 and 2 (2023) add a free 2D side story on May 19 and May 26, 2023 with standalone June 21.
Nintendo transferred the IP to Platinum in September 2024. The remaster includes all DLC plus photo mode, so new players should buy Remastered, not the Wii U disc. Play original or remaster, then After School Hero once you know Wonder Red.
Good to know
Release order matches buy order, with Remastered replacing the original for most players. The Wii U version needs the GamePad draw shapes that Remastered maps to sticks. After School Hero runs as a short 2D break after the main credits. Treat the set as complete, with no sequel dated and Kamiya focused on new IP.
