About Bloodsport
Bloodsport follows Frank Dux entering the underground Kumite in the 1988 Van Damme classic, while the sequels hand the tournament to Alex Cardo across parts two and three and to John Keller in part four. Lady Bloodfight continues the format with a new cast in 2017.
Watch the original first, then parts two through four in release order. The sequels recast the hero but keep the Kumite structure, so they play as companion tournaments that need the original's template. Lady Bloodfight reboots the premise and can go last or be skipped without loss.
Good to know
Van Damme never returned after the original, with Daniel Bernhardt carrying parts two and three as Alex Cardo throughout the run instead for fans. A remake has sat in development for years without reaching production. The four Kumite films plus the 2017 reboot below are the complete set as released.
