About Byron Howard
Byron Howard co-directed Bolt in 2008 about a TV dog lost. Tangled followed in 2010 lanterning Rapunzel out, then Zootopia in 2016 pairing Hopps and Nick through districts.
The films share animal buddies and cities but no plots link at all. Each runs bright and fast on purpose. Release order shows his Lilo board roots widening from dogs to districts with the same heart intact throughout. The dog tags and lantern glows carry every buddy with fur. The paw shakes and lantern glows fill every buddy with fur.
Good to know
Watch oldest to newest since each buddy resets its city. Bolt first sets the dog base for the run. Tangled suits lantern nights while Zootopia closes as the district peak. No next feature has a date yet, so Zootopia stays last until one is announced. The Oscar gold confirms the districts, so give Zootopia full attention.
