About Creepshow
Creepshow united Stephen King and George Romero for a 1982 anthology of five EC-comics tales, from Father's Day to the roach-infested They're Creeping Up on You. Made for 8 million, it earned 21 million and became a horror landmark.
Creepshow 2 followed in 1987 with three more King stories and a Romero script, while Creepshow 3 arrived in 2006 without either creator. Greg Nicotero's Shudder series then ran four seasons and 23 stories from 2019 to 2023. The films and the series never connect, so watch the films in order first, then the series seasons straight through.
Good to know
Anthology entries never connect, so release order is simply the catalog in sequence. The first two films carry the King and Romero stamp, the third is for completists only, and the Shudder series stands apart with rotating directors. No fifth season has been announced after season four closed in October 2023, so the run reads as complete. Start with 1982, which remains the peak.
