About Crocodile
Crocodile (2000) follows eight students disturbing a Nile crocodile nest on a California lake, directed by Hooper for Millennium. The beast stalks the houseboat after egg theft with campfire legend buildup.
Crocodile 2 Death Swamp continues with the same giant and offspring but no plot link beyond the animal. Released direct to video, it repeats lake stalking with new victims. Watch the 2000 film first for nest theft rules, then the 2002 sequel as a standalone variation. Both run about ninety minutes with practical effects focus.
Good to know
Release order is the recommended path since the sequel assumes nest revenge familiarity. Start with 2000 for houseboat setup that defines the crocodile motive and egg theft stakes. Death Swamp works only after learning those rules, so save it for second viewing. No third Crocodile film exists, so this pair is complete.
