About Danziger
Edward and Harry Danziger were New York brothers who built a British B movie factory in the 1950s. They began with the American shot noir Jigsaw in 1949, then settled at British studios to feed supporting slots with crime programmers. Devil Girl from Mars in 1954 became their cult classic, a leather clad Martian hunting men in Scotland, while Alias John Preston gave an early lead to Christopher Lee.
Satellite in the Sky in 1956 brought space race science fiction in color, and late fifties crime like Operation Murder, Three Crooked Men and Night Train for Inverness kept the pace at around an hour each. The brothers also made television such as The Vise and Richard the Lionheart. Watch the eight in release order, since each stands alone.
Good to know
The Danzigers produced dozens of features, shorts and television episodes, so these eight are the best remembered theatrical titles rather than a complete credit list. The films share casts, crews and running times but no continuity, which leaves release order as the natural path. The brothers wound down British production in the early sixties. No new entries are expected, and Devil Girl from Mars remains the cult high point.
