About Hotel Transylvania
Hotel Transylvania follows Dracula running a monsters only resort as his daughter Mavis falls for human Johnny. The second film adds grandson Dennis and his vampire question, the third takes the crew on a cruise run by Van Helsing family, and Transformania swaps human and monster bodies for a reset.
The fifth film The Haunting of Hotel Transylvania is dated October 8, 2027 with Sony on North America and Amazon MGM on much of international. The TV series Hotel Transylvania: The Series is a prequel set before the first film, so it stays optional and outside the film run.
Good to know
Watch the films in release order since each one builds on Johnny joining the family and Dennis growing up. Transformania moved to Prime Video during 2022 rather than theaters, but it still counts as the fourth chapter. Save the TV series for after the first film if kids want more, since it rewinds to Mavis as a teen. The 2027 film continues the same continuity with new directors.
