About Ice Age
Ice Age follows the herd in order across five theatrical films plus spin-offs. The original from 2002 introduces Manny, Sid and Diego, The Meltdown and Dawn of the Dinosaurs expand the herd, and Continental Drift plus Collision Course from 2016 close the Blue Sky run.
The Buck Wild film from 2022 works as a streaming side story, and Boiling Point is dated February 5, 2027 as the first theatrical entry from 20th Century Animation. Release order matches story order throughout, so the herd's growth plays straight through.
Good to know
Watch the five theatrical films in release order, then Buck Wild as an optional extra, since the herd and the kids age across entries. The Scrat shorts slot anywhere as gags without plot weight. Boiling Point is the only future entry with a firm date, and its Lost World trip continues straight from Collision Course.
