About IT
IT follows the Losers Club against Pennywise in Derry across split timelines. The 1990 miniseries runs two parts with kid and adult halves, Chapter One from 2017 covers only the kid half, and Chapter Two from 2019 closes the adult half. Welcome to Derry from 2025 rewinds to 1962 as a prequel series on HBO.
Watch Chapter One then Chapter Two for the modern theatrical path, or the 1990 miniseries as the older single telling. The prequel assumes the films, so save it for last on a first pass. A second Derry season has been discussed as the show stays active, which keeps the franchise open.
Good to know
Pick one main telling first rather than stacking both back to back. Chapter One and Chapter Two match best as a pair, while the 1990 version plays slower with TV limits. Welcome to Derry spoils the creature rules by design, so watch it after at least one Losers telling. Treat the 1990 and 2017 starts as alternates, not steps one and two of the same run.
