About Lokesh Kanagaraj
Lokesh Kanagaraj built Tamil cinema's most patient crime saga. Maanagaram from 2017 wove hyperlink strangers across one Chennai night, Kaithi from 2019 stripped it to a constable and a truck, and Master from 2021 put Vijay against a juvenile crime lord. Vikram from 2022 tied Kaithi's drug syndicate to Kamal Haasan, and Leo from 2023 pushed the same universe into coffee shop ultraviolence.
Coolie with Rajinikanth opened August 14, 2025 as a standalone smash outside the saga. The AA23 Telugu debut with Allu Arjun shoots in 2026 with no date. Kaithi 2, Vikram 2 and the Rolex film are intent only. The LCU has its own guide for the connected films alone.
Good to know
Release order is the only order since the LCU reveals stack across Kaithi, Vikram and Leo. Watch Maanagaram first for the hyperlink grammar, then Kaithi before Vikram because the drug network carries over. Master and Coolie stand alone and slot anywhere. AA23 is announced for a 2026 shoot with no date and sits last. The separate LCU guide covers only the connected entries.
