About The Messengers
The Messengers follows the Solomon family on a haunted farm with Jess seeing ghosts in 2007. It sets the crows, the cellar and the Burwell past. The film ends with the family free.
Messengers 2 from 2009 is a prequel with the Rollins on the same farm before the Solomons. No third film has been dated. Watch the 2007 film first, then the 2009 prequel, since the prequel assumes the farm curse base. Scares stand alone per room, but crow and cellar rules grow from the original to the prequel farm. Farm rooms stand alone per scare, but Burwell past rules grow from original to prequel.
Good to know
Release order works best, with the farm curse revealed before the prequel explains it. Story order would put 2009 first, but that spoils the 2007 scares. Either path works, but the prequel lands best after the original. Start at the 2007 entry for the full farm rules. Story order would put 2009 first, but that spoils the 2007 scares across the farm curse.
