Creature Comforts from 1989 won the Oscar with vox-pop animals, and the Wallace and Gromit shorts from 1989 to 1995 perfected silent-film craft in clay. The Wrong Trousers from 1993 pits the duo against Feathers McGraw, while A Close Shave from 1995 adds Shaun the Sheep. Chicken Run from 2000 scaled the studio to features with the great coop escape.
The Curse of the Were-Rabbit from 2005 won the animated feature Oscar, and A Matter of Loaf and Death from 2008 kept the shorts standard high. Early Man from 2018 tried caveman football with mixed results before Vengeance Most Fowl from 2024 brought Feathers back. Watch in release order, since the gags and the modeling compound short to short.

Start with the Wrong Trousers if the list looks long, since the 30 minutes explain the whole legend. Gromit never speaks, and the acting-through-eyebrows craft rewards close watching. Chicken Run was co-directed, which the credits reflect. Vengeance Most Fowl plays as a direct sequel to the 1993 short, so keep that one before the 2024 return for the full Feathers arc.
