About Night at the Museum
Night at the Museum follows guard Larry Daley learning the exhibits wake at night, ending with the museum saved and the tablet's secret kept. Battle of the Smithsonian from 2009 moves the magic to Washington with Amelia Earhart joining, and Secret of the Tomb from 2014 closes the trilogy in London.
Kahmunrah Rises Again from 2022 is an animated Disney+ sequel centered on Larry's son Nick with a new voice cast. A live-action reimagining with new characters is in development with no date. Watch the three live-action films in order, then the animated sequel as an epilogue.
Good to know
Release order is story order across the original trilogy and the animated sequel. The animated film follows Nick Daley rather than Larry, so expect a new lead. The announced reimagining starts fresh with new characters instead of continuing Stiller's run. No date is set for it. Start with the 2006 original, since every later tablet rule builds on it.
