About Nobody
Nobody (2021) introduces Hutch Mansell, a suburban dad whose home invasion response exposes his past as a government auditor, ending with the Russian mob burning his house down. It opened March 26, 2021 from director Ilya Naishuller. Nobody 2 (2025) takes the family on a water park trip that pulls Hutch into a new town boss, opening August 15, 2025 from director Timo Tjahjanto.
Both films were written by Derek Kolstad for Universal and play as a straight pair. The sequel reuses the basement armory, the brother and the handler without long recaps. Star Bob Odenkirk has said he wants a third film, but Universal has not ordered one, so the series waits on a decision.
Good to know
Watch in release order, since part two assumes you know the tattoo, the kitty bracelet and who Hutch used to work for. There is no separate chronological order, as the sequel follows the first directly. The action jumps in scale in part two, with a bigger body count and a summer setting. Treat the ending as open, since a third film has been discussed but not dated.
