Parker Finn directs the Smile horror series about a curse passed by witnessing a smiling suicide. The 2022 original follows therapist Rose Cotter as the curse disrupts her work and relationships. Smile 2 follows pop star Skye Riley on tour as the same entity exploits fame and isolation on a larger stage.
Finn began with the shorts Laura Hasn't Slept and the original Smile short, which he later expanded. The features restate the curse rules clearly, so the shorts add texture rather than required plot. The two features share continuity, with the ending of the first directly enabling the scale of the second. A third film has been discussed but not dated.

Watch Smile then Smile 2 in release order. The curse passes forward in time, so story order matches release order. The early shorts can be watched afterward for craft comparison, since the features already explain the smiling mechanism. Skipping straight to Smile 2 would spoil the fate of Rose and weaken the escalation that makes Skye's tour feel larger.
