About Peter Collinson

Peter Collinson started in television before his feature debut with The Penthouse in 1967, a low budget thriller with Suzy Kendall. Up the Junction followed in 1968, then The Italian Job in 1969 with Michael Caine and Noel Coward, his best known film and a lasting British caper. You Can't Win 'Em All arrived in 1970 with Tony Curtis and Charles Bronson.

Fright came in 1971 with Susan George, a home invasion thriller that kept his horror name alive. Straight On till Morning followed in 1972 for Hammer with Rita Tushingham, then And Then There Were None in 1974 and The Earthling in 1980 with William Holden. Watch in release order, since the films are standalone and the order tracks his move from London thrillers to international work.

Good to know

These are standalone features with no shared continuity, so there is no chronological order to untangle. The Italian Job is the natural starting point, with Fright as the second pick for horror fans. Straight On till Morning is sometimes styled without the second L in Till. The run is complete. Collinson died in December 1980 at age 44, shortly after The Earthling, so no further films followed.
